Spanish Enrichment Program Kindergarden -5th Grade

Our After School Spanish immersion program is specially designed for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade with classes organized into age-based groups. Classes are held once a week or either Tuesday or Thursday. For those seeking more immersive learning, we suggest the option to attend twice a week.

Placement and Proficiency

To ensure that every child is placed in the right group, we conduct an initial interview and assessment. Students are placed according to their proficiency level using the ACTFL Proficiency Scale, which ranges from Novice to Superior.

 

Year-Round Program with Summer Camps

Our Spanish Immersion Program runs continuously throughout the year. During the summer, we also offer enriching Summer Camp sessions. For optimal language development, we encourage ongoing participation, as consistent practice and feedback are crucial for long-term success in language acquisition. Enrollment is flexible, you may enroll at any time if availability permits. Tuition will be prorated based on your enrollment date.

Our approach blends proven strategies from my experience by leading successful Bilingual and Dual Language classrooms in local school districts with over 450 hours of professional development and research, primarily through Region 4. We apply the latest findings on language acquisition, emphasizing hands-on activities, TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling), and TPR (Total Physical Response). Additionally, we focus on developing executive functions, which are key predictors of academic success.

 

I am a fully certified TEA EC-6 Bilingual teacher at Texas Education Agency, a member of the Houston Storytelling Guild, and the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.

Small class sizes:

We maintain small group sizes to ensure an optimal student-to-teacher ratio and differentiate instruction.

 

Comprehensive Materials:

A one-time $60 educational materials fee is required at registration and again when students advance to the next level. This fee covers new instructional materials and resources.

Service Description

Our K-5th grade classes are 1.5 hours long. We apply our language acquisition  input  strategies by using storytelling and hands-on activities through weekly themes. Our after-school classes are offered on a quarterly basis, with each quarter consisting of 12 sessions. We follow the lead of  Spring Branch ISD Academic Calendar to have the same breaks and holidays as the school district.

Tuition & Fees

 

If enrolling for 2 days/week, a 10% discount is available. Sibling discounts may also be available. Discounts may not be combined. Please, contact us prior to making a payment if this is your case.

SUPPLIES AND CURRICULUM FEE FOR PRE K-4 - KINDERGARTEN​

Refunds:  

Monthly payments and all additional fees are non-refundable.  Please read our cancellation and make-up class policy.

 

How to Pay: Payments may be made by enrolling in the Auto-Pay system via Pay-Pal or Direct Deposit from your Bank Account.
 

Comprehensive Materials Fee: A one-time, non-refundable $60 educational materials fee is required at registration and again when students advance to the next level. This fee covers new instructional materials and resources such as technology.

MISSED / MAKE-UP CLASS POLICY 

We are not able to offer  make-up classes.  If a student has to miss an After School Class, we require (at least) a 24-hour advance notice of the absence.  If advance notice is received, the class will be rescheduled to the next available class. For example: if a student misses his/her Tuesday 3:00 PM class, it can be made up on the following class which is on Thursday at 3:00 PM. This exemption can not be made more than twice during a semester. 
 

Please NOTE that there is ABSOLUTELY NO PRORATING NOR REFUND for missed classes.

 REFUND and CANCELLATION POLICY for AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

1. Before Semester Start: If a parent/guardian wishes to cancel their child's enrollment in our afterschool program before the semester begins, a full refund of any paid fees will be issued, less a non-refundable administrative fee of $65. This cancellation must be requested in writing at least 30 days before the semester start date.

2. After Semester Start: If a parent/guardian wishes to cancel their child's enrollment after the semester has begun, refunds will not be issued. However, if cancellation is requested within 30 days of the semester start, a partial refund may be granted based on the number of weeks the child attended, minus $65 administrative fee.

 3. No Refund for Absences: No refunds will be provided for absences, illness, or personal reasons once the semester has started.

​

 4.Cancellation by the Program: In the event that the afterschool program is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disaster, insufficient enrollment), a full refund will be provided to parents/guardians for any portion of the semester that was not provided, within 10 days of the program cancellation.

​

5. Refund Requests:  All refund requests must be made in writing via email at gigibilingual@gmail.com or mail at 1957 Sherwood Forest St, Houston TX 77043 and must include the child’s name, the reason for the cancellation, and the date of request.

​

6. Force Majeure:  In the case of a "force majeure" event (such as but not limited to war, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances), the afterschool program reserves the right to suspend or cancel activities without issuing refunds for any portion of the semester affected by such events. 

​

7. Changes to Policy: The afterschool program reserves the right to amend or modify this refund and cancellation policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to enrolled families promptly.
